Now... here's Sandra...
Vampires...
They frighten and fascinate. For years vampires were the stereotypical black caped, coffin variety that could turn into a bat and fly away at a moments notice, outlined against the moon. These vamps had fangs that sucked their victims’ blood and secreted venom. They only came out at night, because they fried in the sunlight. Humans were nothing but a food source. And even though we feared and loathed them, they still held us enthrall.
Today that has changed. Vampires come in all varieties. Not only are there the badass villain-vamps, but there are now hero vamps that we love and lust for. Vamps that protect frail humans. We have Angel from the Buffy series, Nora Robert's Ciane, and Stephanie Meyer's phenom Edward to name a few. The new vamps can be out during the day as long as it’s overcast. And Edward doesn't have the classic fangs. He has regular teeth though they are still laced with venom.
Vampire Island has the classic villain vampires and the pranic variety. The pranics can be good or bad and instead of sucking blood, suck energy from their victims. The good pranics know when to stop before they do serious damage. Like their counterparts, pranics operate best at night. That is when their energy level is at its highest and their vision at its best. Sunlight burns their skin.
Given the wide scope of vampires, who are some of your favorites?Which vampire do you loathe? Which do you love?

I have to admit I like the mean vamps--the killers..more Spike than Angel :)
I like the handsome hero type vampires and the bad boy vampires who aren't evil. But for the evil vamps, I really liked the old Nosferatu with the long fingernails and rows of pointy teeth. Sends a shiver down my spine when I see them.
Mmmm I'm more Angel than spike. A vamp with a soul. A differcult connundrum. Good luck with your vampire! Whichever way they slant, they'll be loved by someone.
I like the "good bad boy" vamps--a little rough on the exterior but with a non-beating heart of gold. Something like that :-). Just don't let them sparkle in the sunlight, please!
I love Mick from moonlight...but i can't really think of one i dislike..Angel is another that rocks :)

I love macho vamps a la J. R. Ward. I am also beguiled by the evil ones who teeter on the cusp between good and evil, specifically the vampire Constantine in "Sunshine" by Robin McKinley.
Bella, The mean ones certainly manage to get a passionate reaction don't they?
Hi Lynda, I have a soft spot for the bad boy vamps trying to be good:)
Thanks, Margaret. Appreciate the well wishes:)
Me too, Suzanne. I thought the sparkling in the sun was an interesting concept, but I'm not sure anyone besides Stephanie M. could get away with it:)
Froggy, I like Angel too.
Angela, I'm going to have to try J.R. Ward. I heard several recommendations.
Its great to chat with everyone. Thanks for stopping by.
I love all VAMPS! I would tilt my neck like some Stoker follower any day!
I am caught up in the House of Night series right now! I wish they would all come bite me right now! <>
Tami
The only problem I have btw with Edward (though I love him dearly) is he sparkles. My daughter swears that vamps don't sparkle so he's not a REAL vamp! :)
Hey Tami!
Good to see you! I blush to admit it, but I like the sparkle thing:)
I like the vampires that are torn between good and evil, but my favorites are the truly evil ones. Guess, I'm too much of a horror fan to completely surrender my vamps to the romance genre.
You're in good company, Linda.
I love the dashing vamps that are a little rough around the edges. Though I have to say for me, Spike was an exception to that rule. :)
Congratulations, Angela! Either send an email to the BookBoost or to sandracox1@gmail.com for your PDF of VI.
