Well, I'm not doing too well on my reading challenge.  Need to make a real effort to step this up today.

Alas, I was up until midnight editing due to my great 8K writing total from yesterday!  Then awoken at 3 a.m. by sickie poo kid.   So, I running on empty this morning.  Need more caffeine.

Best of luck to all who are sticking with it.  I'm rooting for you all!

  4. Hello!

    I keep forgetting to log in with my word count.

    I read all of the time, getting that part done is no big deal at all. I read all tucked in on my Kindle Touch, till the sleep meds kick in and nothing makes sense anymore.

    Today, I have 5072. I hope we aren't expected to knock out the world's next best seller during the month.

  7. I wrote 600 words today despite still having company and read in bed until the wee hours. But I edited two chapters and I've reached the halfway point on the short story 3000 words. And I posted 3 crits of other peoples works. Moving on.

  8. @Barbara~

    No problem. Both of your daily totals look swell. You are doing a great job. Keep it up!

    @Marie~

    Feel better!

    @Beth~

    Dog tired? ME TOO! Interesting take on Nora's books. I've only read a couple and thought they were good. But she's doing something right (check out her sales). LOL

    @Aidee~

    I think broken appeals to women because we are "fixers" by nature. I know I am. Double Yay on the word count!

    @Sally~

    It doesn't have to be a best seller on this draft, but what if it becomes one? Then you could say...I wrote it during the 1k/1k challenge @theBookBoost! :-) And your word counts are phenom!

    @Linda Bell~

    You rock! Yay!

    @Cynthia~

    Hey, I did the party stuff this past week and it really upset my schedule. Followed by a sick kiddo--I feel your pain. Write when you can and you'll make up for it later. Keep up the fab work!

    @Teresa~

    I miss reading in bed. Hubby is sensitive to even the tiniest light source. So, I've become a sofa/kitchen/guest room reader! I had a down day with writing despite my running back and forth to the keyboard--only got in one 15 minute segment. Bummer! You're doing great.

  9. Day 5 -

    Writing: Nash Bk 1
    Total word count: 140

    Reading: None today

    I almost forgot to check in with my totals (such as they are) for yesterday. Not a good day, and no excuses for it, either. Just played too much on the computer, procrastinated and was then too tired to write or read.

  12. @BetsyG~

    Realizing where your time is actually going and taking ownership of that is the first step in getting back on track. You'll do better today!

    @Marie~

    Getting outdoors is great and can do wonders for productivity. Well, around here...we only have a short time before we burst into flames when we step outside. But I plan to enjoy it while I can. Yay on the word count!

    @Lynnette~

    You rocked it, girl! Woot!
