Book Boost Awarded Stylish Blog Honors!

The Book Boost has been nominated for

Thunderous applause....

Thank you dearest CJ Ellisson for the nomination! My blog? Stylish? Why, thank you kindly.

For those of us nominated and to be nominated (see below my nominees)...

Here the RULES:

1: Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this award. And you cannot re-nominate me (but if you were planning to do that--thanks for thinking my blog is stylish). :-)

2: Share seven things about yourself.

3: Award ten recently discovered great bloggers.

4: Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award.

Seven things you'll love/hate (or simply could care less) about me:

1. I have four beautiful children who always mind me and never talk back (cough, sputter).

2. I have a college degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement and Public Safety (and therefore have my very own set of handcuffs--ahem).

3. I once toured a pineapple plant in Japan and watched a real mongoose/cobra fight (no, seriously).

4. My favorite color is purple (I believe I was royalty in a former life). :-)

5. I'm freaked out by the sight of mimes (go away)!

6. Won 1st place in the State Science Fair for a "Nature vs. Nurture" Psychological Experiment (formerly a nerd--well mostly former).

7. Just fell in love with the television series Castle and it makes me want to go back and watch Season 7 of Buffy all over again (a la Dirty Girls). Sigh.

And these are the people I've nominated for this award--all are friends and/or professional peers but every single one of them are enormously talented. The diversity of this group will knock your socks off--I DARE you to visit ALL of their blogs immediately!

In no particular order--the nominations go to:

Stacey Espino (

A.D. Blackburn (

Eliza Knight

RK Charron

Rachel Lynne

Donna Goode

Kari Lee Townsend

Kris Tualla

Melissa Bradley

Adelle Laudan

CONGRATS on your nominations (please don't throw anything at me but if you do--I'm quite fond of paper money and I don't mean the Monopoly kind).

Running for cover...

Kerri Nelson
Owner, The Book Boost (a/k/a Stylish Blog)

Thank you for the nomination, Kerri! Celtic Queens (and I!) are honored. (Throwing kisses...) A fight between a mongoose and a cobra??? Yikes! And I totally agree--mimes are distintly...odd.

Thank you so much for the nomination, Kerri. :) You made my week.

I'm with you and Donna on the mimes. Keep them away from me.
