Late checking in today as I was up late writing (yay to my Day 1 word count), but I didn't get as much reading in as I would have liked due to edits I had due professionally. Bummer. Will strive to do better today but as it is my middle child's 5th birthday today and we're expecting incoming family...I'm holding my breath on this one.
Love to see all the progress everyone is making. Keep up the great work and I'll comment in the comments section as we go along!
Hang in there!

What I'm reading?
Hmm this is tricky - my eyes have been giving me trouble so I "listened" to the movie The Client and then skimmed the book in the library to see the differences and how the plot altered and the characters were compressed.
Book: The Client by John Grisham
Starting Point: skim
2 Chapters Completed: skimmed entire book a
Today's Book Note:
Notes from Marie:
My eyes have Rosecea, and were dry and I had a blood spot, so writing and reading were limited. I spent most of yesterday doing 'drops" with a cloth over my eyes to get darkness. And "listened" to the dialogue of the Client. I did spend a bit of time, skimming through the book (which I'd read years ago) to compare. The pacing is fast and there is a clean edge to the prose.
Book notes: I'm floundering a little with what to write.. that too will pass.
Book: Untitled
Starting Point: 3,014
Today's total word count: 7,742
What I'm reading?
Book: Bells by Jen Calonita
Starting Point: Chapter Fifteen *Page 198* (I read more before I went to bed)
2 Chapters Completed: Started Chapter Eighteen *Page 244* *I probably will read more before I go to bed. After editing a chapter of two from my novel, I always read another book to decompress.)
Today's Book Note: Mira is learning that it isn’t all about her… I still don’t like her though!

I'm back.
Today I added 1204 words bringing my total to 2210.
The book I am reading has progressed. The old man died so it isn't coming directly from his POV anymore. I am sure as they get around to reading his last will and testament, the old man's POV will return.
My WIP for this challenge appears to be about a woman who thinks she found a body in a trash bag while 'stretching her legs' during a road trip.
She is back at the scene with Officers Murphy and Bryan and yes, she made a joke about Irish Cop Day.
How are the rest of you doing?
Sally
